A Time Well Spent

More than money, there is one good thing people chase– Time.

Time is so precious that those who have the luxury of it could be considered lucky than a rich lad chasing time.

Your time with your loved ones is precious. Others spend decades before they could be with their families.

Your time with your kids is precious. Don’t wait until they are grown up.

Your time for a vacation is priceless. Others couldn’t even get one.

Your time for your passion is priceless. Others toil day and night just to get by.

So if you have time, pause for a moment, look back and think how your time was spent. Life is short and therefore time is limited. So spend it for something meaningful and in return, you’ll have a wonderful time.⌛

Celebrating Mother’s Day during the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ)

‘Found this stuff beside our door early in the morning yesterday: part of Mom’s sewing box she left after sewing and making her own facemask.

These days are not so good for her, left knee swelling and it’s the first time to happen. She finds it difficult to walk, but still managed to do these things. She hates being idle which usually is the ground of our little arguments, me not wanting her to work that much, but she would still insist. Prior to ECQ, she would steal the dirty clothes in my room to do the laundry for me.

I guess when our mom grow old, we have to be more understanding. We have to be very careful with our words, which I fail most of the time. I kept on showing love the way I wanted it to be, but it only gave her more hurt. I just realized, I have to change my way of showing love by being more compassionate and understanding on how elderly behave, think and react. We can only understand them enough when we reach their age. So by now, instead of being strict, trying to be of control, I’d rather be a guide. Instead of choosing and instructing what she should be doing, I’d rather be a support to whatever she thinks worth doing. A way to make her happy, indeed.

Life’s timeframe is unforeseen. The best thing we can do is to love while we can, so there would be no room for regrets.

Happy Mother’s day.

Last Night’s Diary

Unintentionally fall asleep past 9:00 PM. ‘Woke up past 12:00 Midnight and got up to close our main door. I noticed the radiance outside. I looked outwardly trying to find out where it was coming from and found out my neighbor’s light was off. Then, I realized it was the flower moon’s glare. I went back to my room to get the key and opened our small gate and went outdoor. I looked up the sky and witnessed the wonderful and peaceful night and felt the fresh air embracing me…it was amazing.

Regretful that I don’t have a high-tech cam to capture the Full Moon’s beauty: The brilliance in you gives me hope. Staring at you reminds me that life is still beautiful, the Earth is a peaceful place to live and tomorrow is a wonderful day to look forward to. I suddenly remember the lyrics of my favorite classic song:

“If you get caught between the moon and New York City…the best that you can do…is fall in love.”
